Does a Vivaro take the same pop-top as a Trafic?
A 2014–2019 Vivaro does: it is the same body as the Trafic. A 2019-on Vivaro is based on the Peugeot Expert and takes a different roof at the same price.
Do you fit pop-tops to the Nissan Primastar and NV300?
Yes. Both share the Trafic body, so the same roof fits at the same price.
Can you fit a pop-top to a long wheelbase Trafic or Vivaro?
The listed roof is for the short wheelbase van. If you have an LWB, ask us what is possible.
How long does it take to fit a pop-top roof?
Standard roofs are fitted in a day. You drop the van off at 8am and collect it the same evening. If you choose a colour-coded roof or larger extras, we will confirm the timing when you book.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a pop-top roof?
Yes. A pop-top is a modification and your insurer needs to know before you drive. Specialist campervan insurers cover them routinely.
Will a pop-top roof let me register my van as a motor caravan?
Not on its own. DVLA guidance counts a high-top roof as a motor caravan feature but specifically excludes pop-top elevating roofs. Reclassification depends on other external features, such as side windows, a habitation door, graphics or an awning bar, plus fitted seats, a table, sleeping, cooking and storage inside.
Can I get a courtesy van while mine is being fitted?
Yes. A VW Caddy can be hired for £50 a day, or a VW camper for £70 a day on weekdays. Drivers must be 25 or over with a clean licence.
