Where you sit, eat and relax is what turns a van from a place to sleep into a place to live. Tables and seating are the pieces you use most while the van’s parked up — the difference between perching on the edge of the bed and having a proper spot to eat, work or wait out the rain. Good seating and a table that’s there when you need it and gone when you don’t make a small space work far harder. As part of our campervan furniture kits, we’re building CNC-cut tables and seating at our Darwen workshop, near Blackburn.
What we build
Folding and removable tables
In a van, a table needs to earn its space — there when you’re eating or working, out of the way the rest of the time. Fold-down tables that stow flat against the wall, swing-out and slide tables mounted on a leg or rail, and fully removable tops that lift out and store away. We design them to be sturdy enough to actually use, not just to look the part, and to fold away without a fight.
Swivel seat bases
Turning the cab seats round to face into the living space is one of the best space-savers in a small camper — it brings two comfortable seats into the layout without taking up any extra room. We can supply and build in swivel bases so the driver and passenger seats become part of your seating area when you’re parked up.
Dinette and bench seating
A dinette — bench seats around a table — is the classic camper layout for a reason: it seats several people to eat, and often converts into a bed or hides storage underneath. We build bench seating with usable storage in the base and, where the layout suits, designed to fold down into an extra sleeping space.
Seating that doubles up
In a van, the best furniture does more than one job. Bench seating with storage underneath, a dinette that converts to a bed, a table that drops down to fill a gap and turn seats into a sleeping platform — designing seating and tables to double up is how you fit a comfortable living space, dining space and extra bed into a van that only has room for one of them at a time. We design these to work with your bed system and storage so the whole layout flows.
Cut to your van
Seating and tables have to fit the layout exactly — the bench that’s an inch too deep costs you walkway, the table that’s fractionally too wide won’t fold flat. CNC-cut tables and seating are designed to specific van models and layouts so they fit the space properly and leave you room to move. When the range launches, they’ll be offered by van model so the fit is right from the start.
Part of a full kit, or on its own
Tables and seating work as part of a complete furniture kit alongside your kitchen, bed and storage, or on their own if that’s the part of your build you need. And if you’d rather we fitted them, we can, as part of a full or partial conversion at the workshop.
Register your interest
Tables and seating aren’t available to order yet, but the range is coming. If they could be part of your conversion, register your interest using the form and we’ll be in touch as soon as they launch — with early access and launch pricing for people on the list. Tell us your van model and the layout you’re planning, and it helps us build the range around what people actually want.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the seating convert into a bed?
Where the layout suits, yes. Bench and dinette seating can be designed to fold down into an extra sleeping space, which is a great way to add a bed for occasional passengers without taking up permanent room. When you register your interest, tell us your van and layout and we can flag what’s possible.
Do you supply swivel seat bases?
Yes — turning the cab seats to face into the living area is one of the best space-savers in a camper, and we can supply and build in swivel bases so the front seats become part of your seating when you’re parked up.
Will the table be sturdy enough to actually use?
That’s the aim. A camper table has to be light enough to fold or remove but solid enough to eat and work at without wobbling. We design the mountings and legs to be genuinely usable, not just tidy — a table you can lean on is worth far more than one that only looks the part.
Can I get seating without the full kit?
Yes. The plan is to offer full kits for a complete interior and individual elements — like tables and seating on their own — for people who only need part of the build.
Can you fit it for me?
Yes. The tables and seating are designed for a competent self-builder to assemble, but if you’d rather we installed them for you, we can do that as part of a conversion at our Darwen workshop.
Where are you based?
Our workshop is at Unit 15, The Hub, Commercial Rd, Darwen BB3 0FL — a few minutes from Blackburn and just off junction 5 of the M65, easy to reach from across East Lancashire and the North West.
