The Ducato, Boxer and Relay are the same van under three badges, and the base for most UK motorhomes. They are big inside already, so a pop-top on these vans does a slightly different job: it adds a separate sleeping deck and a lot of headroom, without the height and cost of a fixed high-top.
Unlike the smaller vans, the roof here comes with more as standard. A scenic canvas with panoramic windows, a hatch to climb through and a carpeted bed area are all included in the price.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a pop-top for a Fiat Ducato?
From £2,550 inc VAT for MWB and longer vans, including scenic canvas, a hatch entrance and a carpeted bed area.
Is a pop-top better than a high-top on a Ducato?
A pop-top keeps the van lower when you are driving and adds a separate bed. A high-top gives permanent headroom and, unlike a pop-top, counts as a motor caravan feature under DVLA guidance. It depends how you use the van.
Can you fit awnings to a Boxer or Relay with a pop-top?
Yes. Awning rails and Fiamma wind-out awnings are priced on application for these larger vans.
How long does it take to fit a pop-top roof?
Standard roofs are fitted in a day. You drop the van off at 8am and collect it the same evening. If you choose a colour-coded roof or larger extras, we will confirm the timing when you book.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a pop-top roof?
Yes. A pop-top is a modification and your insurer needs to know before you drive. Specialist campervan insurers cover them routinely.
Will a pop-top roof let me register my van as a motor caravan?
Not on its own. DVLA guidance counts a high-top roof as a motor caravan feature but specifically excludes pop-top elevating roofs. Reclassification depends on other external features, such as side windows, a habitation door, graphics or an awning bar, plus fitted seats, a table, sleeping, cooking and storage inside.
Can I get a courtesy van while mine is being fitted?
Yes. A VW Caddy can be hired for £50 a day, or a VW camper for £70 a day on weekdays. Drivers must be 25 or over with a clean licence.

Fit more while the van is in
Many customers add other upgrades on the same visit: electrics and solar, windows and rooflights, awnings, insulation and carpet lining, or a full campervan conversion.
