Van conversions, built the right way.
Bespoke campervan conversions, fit-outs and repairs from a private workshop in Blackburn, Lancashire — measured to your exact van, built to last, done properly the first time.
Hi, I'm Paul — the person behind WeConvert. I build campervans, and take on repairs, upgrades and fit-out work for campervans and motorhomes from a private workshop in the Blackburn area, and I do it the way I'd want it done on my own van: measured properly, made precisely, and finished to last.
Built around your exact van, not a generic kit
Most van furniture and fit-outs are made to a standard size and forced to fit whatever vehicle they're going into — which means gaps, wasted space, and a finish that never quite looks right. I work the opposite way. Every job is measured to your specific van and built to that exact design, so everything fits tight, lines up cleanly, and uses every inch of the space you've got.
That precision is the whole point of WeConvert. A campervan is a small space where everything has to earn its place, and the difference between a build that works every day and one you're always fighting comes down to how carefully it was measured and made in the first place. Nothing's forced to fit — it's made to fit. For a sense of what that looks like finished, take a look at a recent off-grid Relay build I designed and built from a bare panel van to a complete camper.
One person, start to finish
When you bring your van to WeConvert, I'm the one who measures it, designs the build, makes the components and fits them. Your van doesn't get passed around a team or rushed through to make way for the next one — it gets my full attention from first consultation to handover.
That's why everything is by appointment. It means I can give each job the time it needs, talk you through what's realistic for your van and budget, and give you a straight answer rather than a sales pitch. You deal directly with the person doing the work — no middlemen, no crossed wires, just a clear line from what you want to what gets built.
Honest quotes, honest timelines
The van conversion industry has a reputation for two things: over-promising and under-delivering. Quotes that expand once the work starts. Corners cut on parts of the build nobody will ever see. Timelines that quietly stretch. I take a different view — honest quotes, honest timelines, and honest advice, including telling you when a job isn't worth doing, or when you'd be better off with a different approach.
That's not a marketing angle. It's how you build a business that lasts in a small local market where everyone eventually knows everyone. Bad work catches up with you; good work does the marketing for you.
What I work on
From a bare panel van to a finished camper, or a single upgrade to an existing conversion, I cover the full range: full and partial campervan conversions, electrical and solar, heating, water systems, insulation, windows and rooflights, and repairs and fault finding. I also build bespoke furniture and kitchen units, and commercial van racking and trade fit-outs for people who work out of their vans.
Where I'm based
I work from a private workshop in the Blackburn area, by appointment only. Vans come to the workshop for the consultation and the build stages — get in touch and I'll arrange a time that suits and share directions. It's easily reachable from Blackburn, Darwen, Bolton, Preston, Accrington, Burnley and across East Lancashire and the wider North West.
