  • From £2,400 inc VAT
  • Roof bed included
  • Fitted in a day

Since 2016, Peugeot, Citroën and Toyota have built their mid-size vans on the same body. Fiat joined with the new Scudo in 2023, and Vauxhall switched the Vivaro over in 2019. Whichever badge is on the front, the roof is the same.

These vans are well priced second-hand, comfortable and economical, and a pop-top turns them into a capable four-berth camper.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a pop-top for a Peugeot Expert or Citroën Dispatch?

From £2,400 inc VAT for the short wheelbase van, with the roof bed included.

Do you fit pop-tops to the Toyota Proace?

Yes, the 2016–2024 SWB Proace takes the same roof as the Expert and Dispatch.

Is the new Fiat Scudo the same as the Expert?

The 2023-on Scudo is built on the same body as the Expert and Dispatch, so it takes the same roof.

Which pop-top fits a 2020 Vauxhall Vivaro?

A 2019-on Vivaro shares the Expert body, so it takes this roof, from £2,400 inc VAT.

How long does it take to fit a pop-top roof?

Standard roofs are fitted in a day. You drop the van off at 8am and collect it the same evening. If you choose a colour-coded roof or larger extras, we will confirm the timing when you book.

Do I need to tell my insurer about a pop-top roof?

Yes. A pop-top is a modification and your insurer needs to know before you drive. Specialist campervan insurers cover them routinely.

Will a pop-top roof let me register my van as a motor caravan?

Not on its own. DVLA guidance counts a high-top roof as a motor caravan feature but specifically excludes pop-top elevating roofs. Reclassification depends on other external features, such as side windows, a habitation door, graphics or an awning bar, plus fitted seats, a table, sleeping, cooking and storage inside.

Can I get a courtesy van while mine is being fitted?

Yes. A VW Caddy can be hired for £50 a day, or a VW camper for £70 a day on weekdays. Drivers must be 25 or over with a clean licence.
